Texas
Students in Texas can earn either 2-year or 4-year degrees within surveying programs. The state’s licensing board, the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying, does require Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) candidates to earn a 4-year college degree (of any kind), with at least 32 hours of survey-related courses. To help you meet those education requirements, Texas has some of the finest land surveying & GIS programs in the nation.
